HOW TO SAVE FUEL ESPECIALLY ON THIS HARD ECONOMY
Breezy Engines.
By Bruno Gitau
During these hard and tough economic times, the issue of fuel inadequacy, what could save most motorists out here is saving on their car's fuel consumption. Some of the cars out here with big engines under the hood, the V8s and the V6s too are naturally poor on fuel consumption in terms of miles per gallon. see more However, there are a few tricks that all motorists no matter the size of the engine under the hood can be employed to save on fuel and hence save that extra coin that was to be used on buying fuel.

Some of these tricks all start from how you drive, the first step is to keep your revolutions per minute(RPMs) consistent by using your acceleration pedal effectively, don't floor the gas pedal but do it slowly and smoothly, by doing so, this keeps your gears where you want them and with the RPMs low as possible therefore you can save on fuel. You should also control your speed, if you are an adrenaline junkie forgive me, this won't work for you mate, don't speed and slow down.

The other step is that you should avoid using your air conditioners. the AC uses gas, you should use it as your last option, invent other ways to cool yourself if it's too hot in the car, such as opening the window, but not all down as the wind getting in the car also contributes to an increase in fuel consumption.
The third step to achieving better fuel economy is by cleaning or replacing your air filter. A dirty or clogged air filter makes your engine less effective in using gas and air to produce power since the clogged air filter prevents the engine from sucking air easily hence the engine is unable to work effectively, it, therefore, encounters this by consuming more fuel.
The fourth step is by checking and ensuring that your tires have adequate air pressure, they shouldn't be under or over pressure. The fifth step is that you should always do your oil changes on time and ensure that your car engine has enough fuel in it.
All in all,, it comes down to your driving habits, and how effectively you use the gas pedal!!
